East London is full of passionate people with strong views. OK some loathe the place but most people love it.
I would hate to live somewhere where people feel nothing much about where they live, and could easily swap it for somewhere else tomorrow.
Many people I have met describe it as the friendliest place they’ve lived in London, and this for a place where the vast majority of its residents come from elsewhere. It is a place with its roots still firmly in east London soil, whose born and bred are known for their warmth and humour.
It is a place well worth getting to know. The E List is about spreading the word not only of what is happening in East London right now, but also tales of what has gone before and what people dream of next.
